Pam Kerr



Pam graduated from Bluff City High School, then graduated from the University of Tennessee School of Dental Hygiene in Memphis, Tennessee. Pam worked as a hygienist for 27 years before joining the agency in January of 2003 where she currently administers the agency's licensing compliance program.

Mark Hall

Sr. Vice President - Sales


Mark graduated from Bristol Virginia High School and furthered his education at Radford University. He maintains an active outdoor lifestyle where he enjoys tennis and golf. Mark's primary role at the agency is Personal Lines Sales and he is fully licensed in property, casualty, life, and health products.

Alan Bayse

Vice President – Commercial Lines & Employee Benefits Manager


Alan is a graduate of the University of Virginia’s College at Wise with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He is licensed in Life, Health, Property and Casualty and concentrates primarily on Commercial Lines. He currently resides in Abingdon, Virginia along with his wife Kristen, daughter Aubrey, and son Jase. Alan is involved in many recreational activities in the Abingdon area. In his free time, he enjoys anything sports, hunting on family-owned property in Botetourt County Virginia, and floating the James River with his younger brother. He takes great pride in serving the families and business owners of Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennessee.

Jeannie Powers

Manager – Accounts Receivable


Jeannie graduated from Virginia High School and Virginia Highlands Community College, where she earned an A.A.S. Degree in Business Management. After working as a bookkeeper for a local business for 14 years, she joined Kerr-Boswell in April, 2008. She is married to Eugene Powers and has two children, Jacob and Lacey.

Sheila Mullins

Property & Casualty Agent – Personal Lines Supervisor


Sheila is a graduate of Virginia High School and attended Virginia Highlands Community College. She has worked in the Insurance Business for over 20 years as a licensed agent and joined Kerr-Boswell in June 2014 as a Personal Lines Customer Service Associate. She enjoys fishing, camping and the great outdoors with her husband and three small dogs.

Lori Russell

Customer Service Representative – Employee Benefits


Lori graduated from Tennessee High School and attended Northeast State Community College. After working in the fields of law enforcement and emergency medical service for 13 years, she joined the Kerr-Boswell family in April, 2014. Lori enjoys traveling and gardening in her free time.

Perrin Herring

Property & Casualty Agent


Perrin is originally from south Alabama but moved to Johnson City in 2015 with her husband Eric. They have three children, Christian 10 and 2 year old twins David and Lucy and two fur babies, Gunner a 9 year old Weimaraner and BJ a 2 year old Tuxedo. Perrin has a BBA in Marketing Communications from ETSU. Perrin joined Kerr-Boswell in 2018 and has her Property and Casualty license in the state of Tennessee and Virginia. Perrin is an active member of the Johnson City chapter of MOMS Club International and helps with their social media and community outreach projects. During her free time Perrin enjoys reading, baking, Alabama football and spending time with family.

Kevin Derr

Life & Health Agent


Kevin graduated from Virginia High School, then furthered his education at Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, North Carolina. He earned his Associate’s Degree from Virginia Highlands Community College, and transferred to UVa-Wise where he earned his B.A. in Government. After working in hospitality for 2 years, he joined Kerr-Boswell as an Insurance Agent in October of 2018. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and getting involved in various outdoor activities. His fondest memory is exploring Germany with his sister.

Rose Sorrell

Commercial Lines Assistant

Rose Sorrell is a Commercial Lines Assistant where she processes endorsements and renewals for property/casualty accounts and bonds.

Rose spent 24 years working in property/casualty claims before retiring in 2006. She returned to the insurance world here at Kerr-Boswell Tri-Cities in 2016.

Rose lives in Bluff City, Tennessee with her husband Jerry and granddaughter Hannah. They enjoy travel, lake activities, church activities and Hannah’s participation with the Tennessee High School swim team.

Rose is a past member of the National Association of Insurance Professionals where she obtained her CPIW designation (Certified Professional Insurance Woman). She was also named Insurance Woman of the Year and Claims Professional of the Year for the State Tennessee.

David Lamie

Financial Planner


David is a native Bristolian and a graduate of Bristol, TN High School in 1975. He attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University on an athletic scholarship graduating in 1980 from the Pamplin College of Business with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. Operating under the principles of integrity, objectivity, competence, fairness and professionalism, David has 30 years of experience in the Financial Services Industry with a national client base. David has the following Professional Qualifications and Registrations: Certified Financial Planner Professional(CFP), Chartered Financial Consultant(ChFC), Series 6, 7, 63, 65 FINRA Registration.
